Wonderful Groningen Gelding

Markey (official name Mark), is a remarkably honest, sweet and affectionate gelding. He was almost 4 when he came to us and was also radiographically inspected at that time. He is trained both under saddle and in harness (without blinkers), but we ride him under saddle. We ride him in our arena (sometimes under the guidance of an instructor) and go on wonderful hacks, both alone and with another horse from our stable. And that is always wonderful with Markey! We are not the only ones who think so because Markey has participated five times in the Honorary Escort on Prinsjesdag!
Initially, Markey would be worth much more, but a few months ago, an examination at the Den Ham veterinary clinic determined that Markey has asthma. In use, he has absolutely no hindrance from this; he rarely coughs. However, this is no reason for us to sell him, but I would like to continue with my Friesian now 4-year-old ster mare, which I bred myself. I have far too little time to ride 2 horses. That is a real shame because he has a lot of potential.
Markey deserves an honest rider and a good home.
