Horses for sale
Active
Versatile mare
Description
Offered for the right home + click 🏠
After long hesitation, I am offering my sweet mare Nacini (Nica) for sale. She is an AES mare by Maestro van den Bisschop x Rascin. Height at withers around 1.62 m. Born in 2018.
Nica came to live with us 4 years ago. In that time we have done all kinds of things together: dressage (level B), showjumping (80 cm), hacking (traffic, beach and woods), groundwork, riding alongside a bicycle, bareback riding, etc.
In handling she is cuddly, super sweet and easy. She doesn't get easily stressed, prefers doing everything at her ease and is level-headed. In riding, however, she needs the right guidance. She likes to cooperate, but when it becomes physically harder, she can block mentally and tense up her body, and then she needs help from the rider to think forward and softly again. The blockages look like slowing down, resistance to forward aids or, in extreme cases, a reaction against the aids. If you can give the right aids at the right moments, you end up with a super nice horse in her.
In showjumping she is actually much more forward; she really enjoys doing this. She is very honest in this: if you just keep guiding her, she will always make an effort to get over the jump, even if you ride an incorrect distance. I have mainly ridden her up to 80 cm, but with the right rider she certainly has potential for more. When she takes over the pace from you, she can buck between or after obstacles.
She shows a nice jump in free jumping.
On hacks she is good with another horse in front, she doesn't spook at much, she can just sometimes find big traffic or noisy things a bit scary. I have been out alone a few times; on some rides she built up some tension and blocked the same way as in dressage, but I have also been able to do many solo rides where we could enjoy riding around.
For Nica, I am looking for someone who can ride with a lot of patience and feeling, but is not afraid. Someone who offers her plenty of variety. Someone who wants to have a lot of fun with her, she deserves that. I think she would do very well with the right rider in showjumping, but a leisure home would also suit her. Once you have her on your side, she is truly a top horse.
She is currently kept at home 24/7 outdoors with shelter options, paddock and turnout, in a mixed herd.
I would therefore prefer to see her go to someone with a similar setup.
I made this difficult decision because we don't click when riding; I notice I am losing my confidence and therefore can no longer give her the guidance she needs. She deserves someone who suits her better and with whom she can work with pleasure again.
She is good at the farrier, vet/dentist, on the trailer and in the small horsebox.
Neatly maintained with saddler, farrier, chiropractor and dentist.
She is shod in front.
When we bought her, she passed both clinical and X-ray pre-purchase exams, including neck and back.
She will only leave for the perfect home, when I have a good feeling about it and know she will have a better life than with us. I would love to stay in touch with her new owner 😁
If you have questions or serious interest, feel free to send a message and especially tell what you have to offer Nica. 🏠
Optionally, her Kent & Masters jump saddle, fitted for her last year, can be taken over for an additional price.
WhatsApp/texting allowed, please do not call.
