Whisky is sired by the successful Grand Prix winner Comthago VDL, who performs admirably under Hessel Hoekstra and whose oldest offspring are making a splash at 1.45m level at eight years of age, such as Noble Ami, Nena-Alve DV and Cawamia. Dam Era-Peternella descends from the successful Grand Prix stallion Emilion, just like top showjumpers Glasgow, Seldana di Campalto and VDL Emmerton. Granddam Lydia-Peternella can also be found in the second generation behind Renske Kroeze’s international 4*-eventer Irma Peternella (by Baltic VDL), and this direct damline also produced the international 1.45m showjumper Huatabampo-Inspiracion (by Zirocco Blue VDL), ridden by Escipion Mendivil.
