Z dressage, plenty of jumping talent and a character to love!

Officially registered as Hooghei’s Nico, but affectionately called Rossi by his owners for years.

Rossi combines proven dressage quality, plenty of natural jumping talent and a wonderful character. He is very neatly trained in dressage, while his quality over fences also makes him a particularly interesting all-rounder pony for sale.

Rossi has been trained by his current family from the very beginning. They backed him themselves and started his training with club lessons in both dressage and jumping. By now he has experienced all sorts of things: competitions, pony camps, going out and countless hours of grooming, cuddling and care by children.

His owners describe Rossi as an incredibly friendly and people-oriented pony. He loves attention, happily comes up to you for a cuddle and is the kind of pony where they can safely leave their child alone to groom, feed and care for him in the stable.

Under saddle Rossi is alert, willing to work and pleasantly sensitive. He is always keen to get to work, picks up new things with curiosity and gives his rider a very nice feeling. His owners believe that with the right guidance he has all the ingredients to become very successful in sport with his next rider.

His dressage training is now rock solid. Rossi competes at Z level and shows very nice use of his body in all three gaits. It is also worth noting that in all auction photos and videos Rossi is presented entirely barefoot.

Over fences too, a very interesting future seems to lie ahead for Rossi. He shows very good manners, a fine technique, athletic ability and a very natural use of his body over fences. The quality is clearly present and we think there is plenty of room for further development here.

In daily life Rossi is straightforward too. He travels easily and can be loaded onto the trailer by a child. He is used to turning out in the paddock with different horses and ponies and fits in easily with the herd. He also behaves well at the farrier, vet and during other daily care.

For his current family Rossi has always been much more than just a sport pony. He is a true friend to children and they hope that with his next rider he can continue to combine both sides: the talent to achieve great things in sport and the character to make a child's pony years unforgettable.
