Sardonyx – talented 4-year-old gelding with great potential
Sardonyx is a strikingly sweet and bold 4-year-old gelding, coming from a very interesting showjumping pedigree. He is a son of KM Chalcedon, out of a damline by Numero Uno x Goodwill.
Despite his young age, Sardonyx has already achieved great results. He competes successfully and regularly wins prizes at 90 cm and is now ready to make the step up to 1.00 metre.
Sardonyx has been under saddle for less than a year and shows that he is a truly eager-to-learn horse. He picks everything up easily and jumps with a great attitude. Furthermore, he is still developing fully and has definitely not finished growing. So far, he always jumps clear.
Sardonyx is also a pleasure to handle. He is well-behaved in the stable, on the trailer and at the farrier. He has no stable vices. As a 3-year-old, he was fully clinically and radiographically approved. Re-inspection is of course possible, at the buyer's expense.

Sardonyx comes from the proven damline of Edelvrouw II, which has produced multiple offspring jumping at level:
Jade van Edelvrouw – 1.40 metres
Nessa – 1.35 metres
Oxford – 1.20 metres
Toermalijn – 1.10 metres
Cardhu, a half-brother of Sardonyx by the same sire – 1.10 metres
Oxford and Cardhu are at our yard. The aforementioned offspring from Edelvrouw II were also born at our place. More information about this interesting pedigree can be found via Horsetelex by searching for Edelvrouw II and then looking at the offspring.
Sardonyx is a horse with a great attitude, high quality and an interesting background. For an enthusiastic rider with showjumping ambition, he is a bold and promising horse who can develop further and potentially go far in showjumping.
