Handsome dun New Forest pony mare

It is with mixed feelings that we are looking for a new, wonderful home for our handsome, talented New Forest dun mare. A true dressage star.

s. Orchid’s Castanii,

She has had 1 foal in the past, has competed in Z2 dressage with her previous owner and jumped 0.90m in the past.

She is very well-mannered, very pleasant to handle, loads easily, and is very relaxed on the trailer. Well-behaved under saddle as well, can be a bit spooky, but an experienced rider easily rides her through that. Because of her alertness, she makes the best combination with an experienced rider, not a beginner.

In terms of dressage, our 11-year-old daughter gets along very well with her. She has really grown in that area thanks to the pony. Showjumping, on the other hand, does not click. The pony enjoys jumping but finds it very exciting at the same time and needs an experienced rider who gives her confidence. Our daughter cannot provide her with that stability and certainty. That is where the shoe pinches, as our daughter would love to jump.

Pony moves very well, has 3 very good gaits including an outstanding extended trot.

Her vaccinations are up to date, she has lovely clean legs, is well-behaved with the farrier and also social with our other horse (not dominant). She is very content both in the stable and in the pasture. Here she also stayed outside at night in the summer, which she was also fine with. She is truly a sweetheart, a cuddler, an honest pony. That did not necessarily make the choice easy.

We had her pre-purchase examined clinically upon purchase. Approved. Re-examination is allowed at buyer's expense.
All other examinations permitted at buyer's expense.

The price includes bridle, her good thick winter rug with neck cover and fly rug and fly mask for the summer.

Her very nice Busse dressage saddle (custom-fitted to her) can optionally be purchased for an additional price.
