sport horse and fantastic family horse
Description
It is with a heavy heart that we offer our sweet Chess (Saarmich) for sale.
Chess is a KWPN mare, born on 16 April 2022, approximately 1.74 m tall and bred from Fürst Jazz x Vivaldi.
To be clear about her pedigree: Chess is a daughter of Fürst Jazz and therefore not by the famous stallion Jazz.
Chess is a horse with a very nice combination: a serious dressage foundation and sporting aptitude, but also incredibly sweet, well-behaved and versatile.
Dressage & training
As a 3-year-old, we saw an OCD on the X-rays during purchase which was surgically removed in Utrecht. She did not suffer from the OCD.
After her recovery, she was completely approved for sport and we only started training her quietly. She was almost 4 years old then. We consciously gave her time to grow up and built up her training calmly.
In the relatively short period she has been ridden now, she has been well and seriously trained. She may not have a huge amount of mileage or competition experience yet, but she has a fine riding technique foundation.
Chess is willing to work, stable, nicely forward-going, soft in the hand and responsive to voice aids. She shows that she wants to work for you and is very eager to do well.
In addition to training, we have consciously left plenty of room for hacks, fun, experience and quietly growing further. So she has not only learned to work, but also got to know various situations.
Chess is a horse that is not only suitable for leisure use. She has a good dressage foundation and the quality and attitude to be developed further as a sport horse. She has 3 very nice gaits and a naturally nice head/neck carriage.
❤️ Her character
And then perhaps her biggest plus point: Chess is truly a great family horse.
She is a first-class cuddler, super sweet in handling and incredibly easy.
We have four children and Chess is truly part of our family. My children ride her and with them she is super well-behaved – not a foot wrong. Children can walk around with her and groom her.
My 10-year-old daughter even rode a Bixie competition with Chess. This was about the 10th time someone rode her. She also rides her independently and jumps a small fence.
She is therefore also suitable for a beginner or less experienced rider. You can just hop on and ride away. At the same time, she is nicely forward-going and has sufficient work ethic and quality for a more experienced rider who wants to train her further.
🌳 Outdoors & versatility
• Traffic-safe
• Hacks out alone and with other horses
• Easy to take away
• Super social and sweet with other horses
• Can jump a small fence, although jumping has not been done much yet
• Well-behaved and reliable with children
• Nicely forward-going under saddle
Young horse, so still in full development
Although Chess behaves incredibly well-behaved and reliably, she remains a young horse of 4 years old, of course. She is big and does not yet have the experience of an older horse.
There is absolutely no malice in her, but of course she still needs to rack up mileage, gain experience and grow further. She has a very fine foundation and precisely for that reason we see many opportunities for someone who wants to train her further quietly.
Why sell?
The decision to sell Chess is certainly not easy. We have four children and therefore it is quite busy at home. We will be in the middle of a renovation for a long time. I notice that I simply have too little time to give Chess the attention and further training she deserves.
In addition, 2 of our children do a lot of sports and this also takes up a lot of time.
It makes me sad that Chess always comes last and therefore falls short in time and attention.
After an unfortunate situation recently with a kick, I notice that my confidence is a bit less at the moment and that my physical condition does not always cooperate.
We are looking for a nice place for Chess where someone wants to further utilise her qualities and continue her training.
A young KWPN sport horse with a good dressage foundation, a fantastic attitude and an incredibly sweet character. A horse with a future, that is also wonderful to enjoy right now.
With serious interest, Chess can of course be viewed and ridden. I do not have recent riding videos yet.
I am not in a hurry to sell
Pre-purchase exam is allowed at buyer's expense.
She visited the dentist in July and fecal examinations are up to date.
Her saddle, bridle and blankets may move with her.
