Quby S Z – sweet mare with top pedigree, for dressage & leisure

It is with a heavy heart that we are looking for a nice and permanent new home for Quby S Z.

Quby is a bay Zangersheide mare from 2017 with an exceptionally fine sport pedigree: Quickly de Kreisker × Comme Il Faut × Carthago. In her pedigree we find great names such as Diamant de Semilly and Cornet Obolensky, and her damline has produced several horses that have performed at a high level in showjumping.
Quby was bought at the time for our daughter, who was making the transition from ponies to horses. Unfortunately, over time it turned out that they were not the right match together.

Although Quby is clearly bred for showjumping, we have noticed that showjumping is not the discipline in which she has the most fun and confidence. We want to be honest about that and are therefore consciously looking for an owner who is not buying her with showjumping as their main goal.
In terms of dressage, Quby is actually a very nice horse. She rides comfortably, is well-behaved and pleasant to handle, and has shown us that she comes into her own much better when worked with in a relaxed manner. We also think Quby can be a very nice companion for someone transitioning from ponies to a horse who mainly wants to enjoy riding, do dressage and go hacking.

Her strong jumping pedigree remains special, of course. Quby was also selected as a foal for Veulenveiling Prinsjesdag 2017.

For us, selling Quby quickly is not our top priority. Above all, we want her to end up in the right place. With someone who wants to have fun with her, build a bond with her and appreciate her for the horse she is. That is why we are happy to tell interested parties openly and honestly about our experiences with her. Finding a good and suitable home is more important to us than a quick sale. Quby is not a horse that has to leave. Above all, we wish her someone where she truly belongs.
