Handsome, willing chestnut gelding for sale

It is with a heavy heart that the current owners are looking for a wonderful new home for Bob, born on April 21, 2021, where he can continue to develop in sport and be allowed to be a happy horse.

Bob is a chestnut gelding measuring approximately 1.50m. Unfortunately, his pedigree is unknown. He has officially competed in B dressage and has already won points in this. At home, he is being further trained towards the L level. He is a pleasure to train and also shows talent for showjumping. He enjoys jumping a small fence and definitely has potential in this area, but has not yet officially competed in it.

What makes Bob special is his all-rounder character. He is not only trained under saddle, but also does a lot of groundwork. He can go out on hacks and also goes into the woods alone. In handling, when approached in the right way, he is incredibly sweet and reliable. At the farrier and vet, he behaves impeccably.

Bob does need a clear upbringing. He thrives best with someone who handles him consistently, clearly, and calmly. A harsh approach is definitely not necessary and does not suit him. When he knows where he stands, he is an incredibly pleasant and cooperative pony.

Under saddle, he is well-behaved and level-headed. His character is 100% bombproof. However, for his further training and sport, we are explicitly looking for a rider with sufficient experience and self-confidence. Bob is therefore not suitable for an insecure rider who still has to learn how to guide a young horse in a consistent manner.

Bob therefore has a great combination of good behavior, willingness to work, sporting talent, and versatility. We are not looking for a quick sale for him, but a home where someone really wants to work with him. A home where he is further trained in sport, but where there is also room for groundwork, variety, and hacking would suit him very well.

The current owners are selling Bob because, unfortunately, a good match has not developed between Bob and his current rider. That does not detract from his qualities; we are looking for someone whose character and way of working will truly come into their own with him.

Asking price: €8.500
