Secret van ‘t Trichelhof (Ted), 4-year-old gelding

For sale: Secret van 't Trichelhof ("Ted"), 4-year-old gelding

Nirvano x Akribori | approx. 1.76 m

Ted is an incredibly sweet horse, a real cuddler in the stable and when handled. Under saddle, he is very sensitive to his rider. If he is ridden quietly and with feel, he is well-behaved, pleasant and willing to work, with a lot of potential. If the rider is insecure, Ted takes on that insecurity.

Training: The basics are well established: walk, trot and canter. We have started with lengthening and shortening in tempo and with leg-yielding, and he picks that up well. He has already been on hacks and does that super well.

Reason for sale: Ted is in a phase of his training where he needs an experienced rider who gives him the security he seeks. We wish him a home where he can develop further.

Care: Ted is well maintained by, among others, physiotherapist, equine dentist and farrier. He goes barefoot thanks to his strong hooves. He is up-to-date with vaccinations.

Health: In October 2025, Ted passed an inspection. X-rays are available, including of the neck and back. There is one remark: an old avulsion fragment at the back margin of the first phalanx, at the level of the left hind fetlock. The fragment is in the joint capsule and not in the joint itself. During the inspection, Ted walked soundly, the flexion test was negative and the fetlock was not swollen. We will share the report and the X-rays upon genuine interest and after a first visit.

Not suitable for beginners. Experience with young horses is a must.
