Super nice horse; Secret van ‘t Trichelhof (Ted), 4-year-old gelding

For Sale: Secret van 't Trichelhof ("Ted"), 4-year-old gelding

Nirvano x Akribori | approx. 1.76 m

Ted is an incredibly sweet horse, a real cuddlebug in the stable and when handled. Under the saddle, he is very in tune with his rider. If he is ridden quietly and with feeling, he is well-behaved, pleasant and willing to work, moves very well, has a very soft mouth and a lot of potential for higher work! If the rider is insecure, Ted takes on that insecurity.

The basics are well established. We have started with transitions in tempo and leg-yielding, and he picks that up well. He has already been on hacks out and he enjoys that immensely!
Ted is currently stabled at a large, busy yard and handles this just fine. Having multiple horses in the arena is also no problem!

Why for sale: Ted is in a phase of his training where he needs a more experienced rider who can give him the security he seeks. We wish him a home where he can develop further.

Ted is well cared for by, among others, a physiotherapist, equine dentist and farrier. He goes barefoot thanks to his strong hooves. He is up to date with vaccinations.

In October 2025, Ted was vetted. X-rays are available, including of the neck and back. He was approved with a minor remark: on the rear edge of the pastern bone, at the level of the left hind fetlock, there is an encapsulated fragment. He is not bothered by this and has never been lame. The vetting report and x-rays will be shared upon genuine interest and after an initial visit.

Not suitable for beginners. Experience with young horses is a must. He is a horse you can learn a lot from!
